These nasty things have a fish hook end on them when they are fully grown. Ouch, it hurts to pull them out. I had one in my shoe and made the mistake of commenting "man those things just jump onto you" ... a figure of speech of course.
Isaac fell onto a small patch of these and ended up with two on his hand. He now has an irrational fear about them "jumping out to get him." He will not walk anywhere off of the beaten path. When you are walking he says "is that a thorn, is that a thorn?" about
everything he sees. We carry him almost everywhere. If we tell him he has to walk, he completely melts down and freaks out. We need a chiropractor in LaDigue.
