Marathoning for Mamba from mk smith on Vimeo.
This video shows the city and the countryside of Haiti so well; two very different parts of the country.
[See THIS blog post for MK's full explanation of this (her Master's degree) project and how it came about originally.]
MK came to shoot this story on Tara and RHFH in late 2009, shortly before the earthquake. It was done to promote Real Hope for Haiti and their awesome program that helps malnourished children in the mountains of Haiti. It focuses on a peanut butter product called Medika Mamba that is being produced in the northern part of Haiti.

I Am showing this too Saul, because God has put get food to Haiti on his heart and mind. I know that he is old enough to handle this he was crushed when the earthquake happened and he thought about all of his Haitian family all the time, I know that this is before that but he will know that they are still there and helping!
Thanks for Sharing!
God Bless,
Rose Anne
It's really fun to see/hear you, Tara. So many of us readers are very familiar with your words and your heart, but not your voice.
Great video! I agree with Jaime it was fun to actually hear your voice & Troy's too!
Your family is great & you model obedience to the Lord's calling in your lives so well.
Praying for all of you & the people of Haiti!
This is PURE AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!! It gave me butterflies to watch....
I put off watching this video until today, because I knew that I would cry. I did, a whole lot. Thank you. Thank you for how you live your life, and by sharing it here for others to learn from and be inspired by.
Hi Tara,
I just watched the video. Ummmm...having now visited RHFH (though very briefly) and hearing Licia tell me what you did and even reading it here...well, I honestly didn't really grasp the incredible way God used you, nor the incredible way you worked hard for the very love of the least you serve. I am truly blessed to read along like thousands of others, and also truly blessed to have finally met you in person and to call you 'zanmi.'
I pray God sustains you, Troy and kids for the marathon He has you living in Haiti. Love and hugs!
Kristie
