If Noah is Art Garfunkel, then Hopie is Macy Gray. We even got her to do a little impersonation at dinner tonight. Braids came out today, hoping for new ones tomorrow.Ever since we moved here I have been watching and waiting to find Avocados. Word got out that I was searching and 8 showed up yesterday. They are SO good.
Today Troy needed to do a bunch of checking on things in town, so he brought Lisa to English Camp today. These photos are of the kids she taught. She had a great time and we are all sad to see her go in the morning. She was the easiest "team" ever. We hope we will see her again next year.
Troy had a successful day in Port-au-Prince, reporting that all the things on his list were accomplished. That never happens. Woot. The big generator that the mission desperately needs is now pushed back two or three weeks. No surprises there, August 1 sounded like a made-up date. If you come here expecting things to be done in your time frame or on any sort of schedule, you will go insane.
Semper Gumby. (Click for further explanation.) We are getting pretty darn good at this Gumby stuff.
We hope you are all well. If there is any way that we could be praying for you, please email us and let us know.
High-Fives from Haiti,
Tara
