All the sunset photos start to look alike. Troy says I need to knock it off with these, but I like them. Again, this if looking out across the water to the island of LaGonave, Haiti. Taken from the mission house porch.
Pastor's training for October. Troy based the teaching from Jeremiah 29:11 and Isaiah 55:8-9. I asked him at the break, "How is it going?" and he said, "God must be doing it because I think I am making sense." Much of the point of Pastor's Training is for fellowship and encouragement. There is also a need for sound doctrinal reinforcement. Some of these guys come from hours away to attend. After the training there is a lunch. Lifeline attempts to do at least one training per month.
Friday night's sunset. Are you sick of sunsets?
A little guy about to drink from the canal.

Today is a Haitian holiday, no school on Haitian holidays. It makes it feel like Saturday when it is this quiet. Paige is whipping through her daily school work in the peaceful working enviroment. Haitian holidays fall on any old day, whenever there is a good excuse (or not good excuse) to have one.
Today is the anniversary of the death of Jean Jauques Dessalines. ("Mort de Dessalines") In just two weeks, on Novemer 1 and 2 we will have a two day break for the death of Toussaint L'Ouverture. ("Fete des morts") That is "party of death." Sounds like a great time, eh?
