This is the finished product; correctly blocked, amputated and sutured. It may not look all that great/better ... but the bone is no longer exposed and now the finger can heal without the huge risk of infection.
By the time we were done with the amputation, the sun had gone down. So I changed the bandages of the two other finger patients. And tomorrow they are both returning so that we can take a better look at them. Jamie thinks that both of these might have the same problem Pierre had ... where the bone is exposed. I am going to bed now; I might have another fun-filled amputating day again tomorrow. So look forward to plenty more excellently graphic medical photos in the coming week. ;)
