While I might be inclined to focus on how difficult and annoying waiting is, the wise people I surround myself with send me things like this. Tom Petty sang a not very good song that says, "The waaaaaaaaiting is the hardest part." He is old and washed up, but that dumb song plays in my head a lot right now.
Troy talked a long time with John today. John says, we must wait. He knows it is haaaaad (hard for those of you who speak English) but he told Troy we just need to sit tight and wait on God's answer. Not push it. Wait, wait, wait.
By the way, we are ready for the big fat NO. We really are. In some ways that would be easier, just to move on and be done with this state of limbo. God has us waiting, we just are not too graceful at it yet. I finally moved the bassinet out of our bedroom, that helps in the meantime.
My sister and brother-in-law have been waiting for their house to sell for over a year. They live separate much of the work week. They know a little something about waiting.

Waiting through the pain of discipline is not without gain. Scripture assures us that even though enduring discipline is painful, rather than pleasant, "it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it" (Heb. 12:11).
