I did not see your warning sign before I clicked play and almost got sick watching it lol. I only watched the first part and wow. I can't believe you run through all that. Your amazing.

I watched the whole thing. Which I'm sure was much easier than actually running it... especially the hill at the end. Good luck with the rest of the training.

I love it! Thanks for sharing it with us and showing what you go through daily - and what you see daily. I'm amazed at how "clean" the people are, but the trash in the streets make me dumbfounded. The music was perfect too!

Stay strong!

Love ya!

The music was chosen by smart-butt Troy ... after it ends you hear a water truck playing Christmas music for quite a while ... this is a 7 mile run that takes you up and down six steep hills on Delmas 33 ... as you can tell we are forced to walk in some congested spots.

Aren't you scared of the crowds and that traffic? I would be scared to death I think.

T & T Livesay said...

Nope, not scared. I think I get to experience something unique being on the streets with the people - not that there have not been close calls (a tap tap was within inches of hitting me from behind on this run - that happens frequently) --- but I am as careful as I can be about being defensive in traffic and I almost never feel afraid due to crowds. Beth has been running in Port for more than a decade - she has lived to tell about it. :)

Ummm...wow. I would lose. my. mind. But then again I am NOT a runner. I 'knew' this was what it was like, having been there several times, but this puts a WHOLE new twist on it! I am blown away. You girls are AMAZING!!!

Nice music. I've been on that road, I recognize the trash, taptaps and the people's shoes and sneakers and the tires of the vehicles.

Harry Connick...beautiful.
Video...great to get a glimpse of your run.

But am I the only one who wants to know...? How did you video it and what did you use? Held it in your hand? Taped it to your visor?
One of your kiddos was on your shoulders?

Troy, great choice of music.

I have to say it is a totally different feel than I get when running on my wii. I think you should send this to Nintendo for a new experience for their wii fit.

You are an amazing person, keep the pace. I was sort of expecting you to hurdle a goat at some point, maybe that is later in the run. God bless you!

Jon M -
I have this tiny little camera - tiny - and light - I held it in my hand just like it was a water bottle (sometimes in front of my water bottle).

The music kind of makes me squirm, maybe it has to do with some sort of overdeveloped sense of justice (fairness) ... but I listen to those lyrics and feel more than a little sad. Or maybe just uncomfortable. I dunno.

We ran 18 miles today ... and now I wish I could sleep for seven or eight days - but I am going to Creole class in 45 minutes - so that needs to wait.

Ohhh, I get you on the music.
I really just enjoy his voice. That's where I was coming from.

Nice job on the 18!
We've got 18 in the morning. (My first.)

keep it up!

This was a fantastic video. It really captured the environment, including the endless wailing of the water trucks. :-)
