Hi-
This is Tara. Just quickly, I want to clarify Troy's post of this morning.
We are not your perfect churchy missionaries. We are just regular people who love God and feel called to this place for this season of our lives. We want to succeed, we want to serve. We KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that God led us here.
We keep it real. In keeping it real, you gotta tell the truth. The truth is; this week has been very difficult for us all. Paige and Hope seem the least affected but I would say the rest of us are all tired and overwhelmed and ready for some sort of order in our lives. We miss Troy.
We won't quit. We're not quitters. We simply recognize that it is time to get down on our knees and ask God to help us figure out what He requires of us. Troy was simply admitting that he recognized his priorities have gone askew.
We are seeking the Lord on it all, and just spent some time walking up the mountain behind us and at the prayer rock. It was the first solid hour or two we had spent together all week so it felt pretty good. Don't worry about us --- just pray that we get it right and order our priorities the way the Bible instructs us to.
In this order: God, family, work, everything else.
I have some really fun photos I took while we were climbing and at the rock. I will try to post them later. Tomorrow we will go to church here in La Digue then go to the beach to celebrate Noah's birthday. When we get home we have invited our short term mission team guests to join us for cake and icecream.
Thanks for loving us. Thanks for letting us be honest.
