I like this picture. Actually, all the black and whites that we've put up on the blog were taken by a guy on the May trip. His pictures are so good. This picture totally captures the personality of this kid.
I think it looks like he has seen a lot and he wants you to know he is tough. Much of Haitian culture & life is beyond our grasp still, and likley always will be -- but if there is one blanket statement you could make about Haitian people ... it is that they are tough. They have to be.
