Report of Praise

All of our people are on the ground. Tomorrow is a go. I finally feel totally emotionally done ... I think having one of my best friends (Dr. Jen Halverson) landing here is what it took to bring down the wall that is separating me from feeling things.

I just wanted to quickly report this great piece of news.

Lord -
We need you. Help the people of Haiti. Help them see pieces of hope in this nightmare. Help us connect with people on a personal level. Help us know what it is they need from you today and guide each person on this island that is attempting to be love today. Amen.

Glad to see God is being consulted to help the people of Haiti and they're not being rebuked like Pat Robertson doe. Check my blog discussing this http://mallyremarks.wordpress.com/2010/01/17/haitidisaster/

Troy and Tara, we know you need our help and our prayers. A group of UK parent bloggers are currently raising money to send Shelterboxes to Haiti. My post is just one of many. We are doing what we can, we are listening and thinking of you all.

I know this is so, so, so not much, but you are being held up in prayer by so many!! It is so hard wanting to help you all and feeling powerless to help physically, but God has given us a job to do hear and that is to storm the gates of heaven for Haiti and it's people and we will continue to do so!!! Take heart and be lifted up as you continue to do what God has given you to do!

Just in response to one of Troy's tweets--I did hear Al Roker on NBC's Today show speaking about how the vast majority of Americans in Haiti were there with mission/church organizations doing good work. He was kind of marveling on how many were doing good in that way. I thought it was great.

Praying for you all in Estes Park Colorado. Thank you for putting God on display where you are by caring for the people of Haiti. You are the literal hands and feet of Christ right now and be encouraged knowing that you are being lifted up in prayer by many.

Some HOPE...3 people were rescued from the Carribean Market today! They are working now to free a couple. (Seen on CNN) Do we donate money through Heartline? I'll look around for that answer on the website.

Praise God! I am glad that you have someone there with you that you can lean on and feel safe with. It's humanly impossible to stay strong 24/7 without eventually crumbling.

I am praying that prayer with you. Lori

Found your blog just yesterday, and will be constantly praying for you. I will be praying for your children as well. Our church took up a special offering for Haiti this AM. A Dr. that had been to a missions conf. here is bringing a medical team w/ supplies. I will continue to pray that God will bring the people of Haiti to himself through this great tragedy. I have truly been reminded of how I take my blessing for granted. Praying many miracle will be seen in the coming week, and to God be the glory.

Dear Troy & Tara,

We (Robbinsdale Women's Center) staff and volunteers are praying with you! Today I highlighted Psalm 46:1-2 "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore will will not fear!. Wow, that says it all.

Troy,

I'm following your tweets (RIElliott) and have set up a twitter list of people tweeting from Haiti (106 at the moment).

Saw your tweet about the hospital. Did you know there is a hospital 75 miles from PauP that has fully staffed trauma unit and only 4 victims. Email Tim at ttraynor1948@gmail.com or call Tim at 413-241-6526

God bless.
