All of our people are on the ground. Tomorrow is a go. I finally feel totally emotionally done ... I think having one of my best friends (Dr. Jen Halverson) landing here is what it took to bring down the wall that is separating me from feeling things.
I just wanted to quickly report this great piece of news.
Lord -
We need you. Help the people of Haiti. Help them see pieces of hope in this nightmare. Help us connect with people on a personal level. Help us know what it is they need from you today and guide each person on this island that is attempting to be love today. Amen.

so, so, SO grateful that jen is there with you. take good care of her (and yourselves) as you care for the people around you. we love you.
Praying for you as you come out of numbness and shock and begin feeling. We have your back in prayers. . . . telling everyone about your site on Facebook so that more are supporting you in prayers as well.
Just found your blog this week, and have been praying for you as you minister to these dear people! Have also shared your blog on FB so that more can be praying with you. Thank you for letting us know how to specifically pray. Praising God with you for your team who has arrived!!
Glad to see God is being consulted to help the people of Haiti and they're not being rebuked like Pat Robertson doe. Check my blog discussing this http://mallyremarks.wordpress.com/2010/01/17/haitidisaster/
Troy and Tara, we know you need our help and our prayers. A group of UK parent bloggers are currently raising money to send Shelterboxes to Haiti. My post is just one of many. We are doing what we can, we are listening and thinking of you all.

i've been praying for your family this week--especially during church this morning you were much on my mind...just wanted to say I will keep praying
I know this is so, so, so not much, but you are being held up in prayer by so many!! It is so hard wanting to help you all and feeling powerless to help physically, but God has given us a job to do hear and that is to storm the gates of heaven for Haiti and it's people and we will continue to do so!!! Take heart and be lifted up as you continue to do what God has given you to do!
Just in response to one of Troy's tweets--I did hear Al Roker on NBC's Today show speaking about how the vast majority of Americans in Haiti were there with mission/church organizations doing good work. He was kind of marveling on how many were doing good in that way. I thought it was great.
Praying for you in St. Cloud, MN
Praying that you will have HIS strength today and throughout these days. Praying for your kids away from you. Starla
Praying for you all in Estes Park Colorado. Thank you for putting God on display where you are by caring for the people of Haiti. You are the literal hands and feet of Christ right now and be encouraged knowing that you are being lifted up in prayer by many.

Some HOPE...3 people were rescued from the Carribean Market today! They are working now to free a couple. (Seen on CNN) Do we donate money through Heartline? I'll look around for that answer on the website.
Praise God! I am glad that you have someone there with you that you can lean on and feel safe with. It's humanly impossible to stay strong 24/7 without eventually crumbling.
I am praying that prayer with you. Lori
WooHooo! Rejoicing with you and praying for the days ahead...
So good to hear that your team is there and that you have one of your best friends; I pray that emotional support will rejuvenate and help sustain you during these unimaginably difficult times.
Found you through an acquaintance, just wanted to say I am thinking of you and everyone over in Haiti. Praying for strength for you all.

Prayers from Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, Reynoldsburg Ohio
Thank you for your posts !
Found your blog just yesterday, and will be constantly praying for you. I will be praying for your children as well. Our church took up a special offering for Haiti this AM. A Dr. that had been to a missions conf. here is bringing a medical team w/ supplies. I will continue to pray that God will bring the people of Haiti to himself through this great tragedy. I have truly been reminded of how I take my blessing for granted. Praying many miracle will be seen in the coming week, and to God be the glory.

I am going a little bit crazy wanting sooo badly to come (and yes, I speak Kreyol, yes I can help medically), but with Malia only 3... well, you know. I see the port devastated and know what that means in the midst of all this. Kenbe fe e kenbe fo, m'ap priye pou tout moun nan Ayiti, e ke mwen avek nou!
Dear Tara and Troy, I am a friend of Keverly's and I have been following Licia's blog. I am now going to follow yours as well. You will all be in our prayers. Constant prayers. I know you may feel alone, just know He is with you and He has a plan for you. For ALL of you! Loving you through prayer! Missy Wood
Been reading here a long time (can't remember if I've ever commented though). Praying now for you all as never before!
May God strengthen and protect you; may His rest and peace sustain you while all around you is chaos.
Praying as the clinic opens in the AM, that God will supply ALL your needs and be glorified!
Thank you so very much for sharing your prayers, and here, so far away, we stand in agreement and pray with you.
I put your family profile photo and link to your blog on my blog. We are praying for you and planning fund raisers. Our hearts are broken for you and your people.

Dear Troy & Tara,
We (Robbinsdale Women's Center) staff and volunteers are praying with you! Today I highlighted Psalm 46:1-2 "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore will will not fear!. Wow, that says it all.

Go Dr. Jen!! Please squeeze Tara extra hard for us --so glad you are there and have mad skeelz to boot.
Love to all.
Prayers and hugs to you sweetie. God bless you Jen. Give Tara love from us.
Troy,
I'm following your tweets (RIElliott) and have set up a twitter list of people tweeting from Haiti (106 at the moment).
Saw your tweet about the hospital. Did you know there is a hospital 75 miles from PauP that has fully staffed trauma unit and only 4 victims. Email Tim at ttraynor1948@gmail.com or call Tim at 413-241-6526
God bless.
