Still running ...

This (click to read) was written last year.

We (my friend Beth and I) logged over 800 miles running and training in Port au Prince in 2009.

I really thought there was quite enough hardship here back when I wrote this post. I feel so sad for the Haitian people tonight.

I'm just beginning to grieve, and again I pray for mercy as I run.

Tara,

As I posted on your FB, you were such a huge inspiration to me last spring because YOU cared that I was running. Reading through the comments on my blog over the past few days has been such an encouragement to me.

I really wish I had been able to get together back in August to run with you and Beth on that day. After continually reading your posts and seeing the love you have for people, I feel like I missed an amazing opportunity to get to know you.

There are many people here praying for you and thankful for your passion.

And, I'll always be your number one fan while you run!

I somehow stumbled across your blog, and now find myself looking at it all the time, continuing to pray for you, your family, and all that you are doing there. It is a wonderful thing to know that there are people like you there taking care of others. Everytime I kiss my 10 month old right now, I think of you all and offer even more prayers.

If your Texas-based family ever treks up to the Dallas area from Waco, they've got a family of redheads that will also shower them with hugs and love.

Be safe.
